Peter D. Suglia is an experienced trial attorney and litigator with more than 25 years of experience representing individuals and organizational clients in state and federal courts. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including complex commercial, business, and real estate litigation.
Peter received his law degree in 1995 from Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, New York, and his bachelor’s degree in 1992 from UCLA. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York, where he was a trial attorney in the felony trial unit and Major Narcotics Investigation Bureau. Since leaving the District Attorney’s office, Peter has been engaged in private practice as a trial and litigation attorney with well-regarded firms in New York City and Tampa/Orlando, Florida. He has handled both trials and appeals in a substantial breadth of areas, including professional liability actions against attorneys, law firms, healthcare providers, and nursing homes, civil RICO, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, contractual indemnification, and actions against property owners and contractors.
Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, Peter and his wife Kim, a native Nashvillian, recently returned to middle Tennessee to be closer to family, and they are happy to be able to spend time with their family and friends after just a short drive, rather than hours on a plane.
